Most eye care professionals are happy following the western medical approach of quick treatment of symptoms. Leaving the underlying problems unresolved. Common sense, and the experience of millions of people that has been fitted with lenses, tells us that optics is not the the solution to good eyesight.
The Magic eyes program was developed by Leo Angart, who himself wore glasses for 26 years before he discovered how the regain his natural clear eyesight. In Leo's experience children respond to Vision training with amazing speed so lengthy therapy sessions are not necessary in most cases. Magic eyes workshops are designed to be fun and filed with success and achievement.
Magic eyes - an introduction
This is a two hour information talk where you will learn about the program and experience some of the exercises. Often this talk serve as an introduction of teachers in a school before the Magic eyes workshops are offered. This introduction also include material that teachers can use in their classrooms to minimize vision problems.
Magic eyes workshop - day I
The emphasis in this class is on the basic Vision training focusing on the typical child vision problems. Near sight (myopia) and far sight (hyperopia) and eye-coordination are the main topics. However, children with other vision problems will also be attended to.
Parents are usually able to notice a marked improvement after the first class. There is also homework where parent and child will practice the specific Vision training exercises that are important for each child.
Magic eyes workshop - day II
The emphasis in this workshop is building on the achievements from the first workshop. We will also check for astigmatism and learn how to deal with that. Color perception is checked and colors are explored in general. This workshop conclude with a progress check and each child is given a Magic eyes certificate which outline what each child has learned. However the lasting benefit is Magic eyes.
The Magic eyes workshops are usually scheduled at least one day apart giving parents ample time to practice with their children.
